Tips To Help Get Through The Covid19 Times

  |   blog

We know it’s a time to stay safe and healthy, as such we have some suggestions related to this critical time for everyone.

During times of uncertainty, we are trying our best to think rationally and what we can do to stay safe and healthy due to COVID-19 and the current pandemic. There is a lot of good information out there, and we want to do our part to remind you all of some of the things we can each do to take care of ourselves.

Here is a list of suggestions we have:

  1. Wash your hands. It goes without saying, however, because COVID-19 is being spread in droplets and remains on surfaces, including clothing and metal and more, it’s important to always wash your hands. After touching the phone, after being out, touching doors, or even your jackets…please wash your hands.
  2. Moisturize your hands and skin after wash. After constantly washing hands with soap and water, alcohol hand sanitizing, your skin, and hands will dry up quickly. Use organic skin care products, such as Eminence Organic Skincare to moisturize your skin, not only hydrate your skin, but also minimize bad chemical ingredients get into your body. For a list of products we love, please visit our products page. These products are organic and effective and safe.
  3. Boost your immune system by eating healthy. Eat more vegetables and fruits, help your body become as strong as possible to fight virus and foreign pathogens. Eat more of the following: citrus fruits, papaya, kiwi, mushrooms, acai berries, blueberries, pomegranate, low-fat yogurt, sunflower seeds, almonds, red bell peppers, spinach, turmeric, ginger, green tea, sweet potatoes, broccoli, garlic, miso soup, chicken soup (preferably made from actual bone broth), shellfishes, and elderberries.
  4. Avoid touching your eyes, mouth, and nose. While you are always washing by now, it’s still important to remember to avoid touching the eyes, mouth, nose areas. Doing this will limit germs from entering your internal respiratory system. Please refrain from these areas, it’s good practice overall.
  5. Practice social distancing. If you are feeling sick, or know that you may have been around others that are feeling sick, it’s best to just stay at home. It’s not worth the risk of further infecting yourself and others. If you have appointments and don’t feel well, keep in mind that they can be rescheduled. If you have loved ones or friends, instead of going to a bar, try a video chat.

We hope these tips are helpful if you are feeling stressed, however, we do have an article on dealing with post-holiday stress, which may help with the stress of COVID-19 fear and anxiety as well. Click here to read. (Note: #4 may no longer apply so we suggest a virtual chat with a friend there).

A Shout Out To Those Treating And Helping Respond to COVID-19

We also would like to take out a moment to shout out every health care professional, local government and first responders for being at the front line.

Our hearts go out to those affected across the world.

Stay safe, stay healthy friends.
