Laser Hair Removal
How Laser Works To Reduce Hair?
Laser targets the melanin (the dark pigment that gives hair its color), as the melanin absorbs the laser’s light, the resulting heat basically kills the surrounding hair follicles, specifically around the bulb, bulge, and vascular supply.
Why Choose Laser Hair Removal?
Laser hair removal is a highly effective method to reduce unwanted hair permanently. Unlike traditional methods such as shaving, waxing, or plucking, laser hair removal targets hair at the root, also providing smoother skin and longer-lasting results. Here’s why our clients prefer laser hair removal:

Laser Tattoo Removal
The PicoWay® is FDA, Health Canada cleared laser system. This device uses a picosecond laser beam with high power and ultra-short pulses durations for a photoacoustic effect that transforms your skin from the inside out! The PicoWay® laser treats acne scars, wrinkles, benign pigmented lesions (dark spots), and removes black and multi-color tattoos.
Picosecond lasers can be used in a broader range of skin types than nanosecond lasers due to reduced risk of hyper- or hypopigmentation and scarring with picosecond photoacoustic versus photothermal effect. Shorter pulses and enhanced photoacoustic effect avoid overheating of skin and decreases risk of PIH. In skin of color, a clinical study with the picosecond laser demonstrated a low rate of PIH, at only 4.65% of the lesions.
How does PicoWay® laser remove tattoos?
– It utilizes short bursts of laser energy to break down the ink into small fragments or particles in a tattoo, which are slowly absorbed and then naturally eliminated by the body’s immune system.
– Picosecond Technology: PicoWay operates in picoseconds (one trillionth of a second), delivering ultra-short laser pulses to the skin. This is significantly faster than traditional nanosecond lasers.
– Photoacoustic Effect: The rapid pulses create a photoacoustic effect, which means the laser energy shatters the ink particles into tiny fragments using sound waves rather than heat. This reduces the risk of thermal damage to the surrounding skin.
– Multiple Wavelengths: PicoWay offers multiple wavelengths (532 nm, 785 nm, and 1064 nm), making it effective for removing a wide range of tattoo colors. Different wavelengths are absorbed by different colors of ink. Even difficult-to-treat blue and green tattoos.
Benefits of PicoWay®: Fast Results, Reduced Risk of Scarring, Versatility, Less Painful.
Post-treatment Care:
– Immediate Care: The treated area might be red, swollen, or blistered. Applying an antibiotic ointment and keeping the area covered can help prevent infection.
– Healing: Avoid sun exposure and follow any additional instructions provided by the practitioner to ensure proper healing.
– Follow-Up: Multiple sessions are usually required, spaced several weeks apart to allow the skin to heal and the body to remove the ink particles.

Melasma Treatment
What is melasma? Melasma is a skin condition, it is increased pigmentation related to hormones, genetics, and UV exposure. Most commonly occurs in women and is often called the “mask of pregnancy”. Melasma can be challenging to treat due to its persistence and the deep nature of the pigmentation.
At Magic Laser and Aesthetics, we use the most advanced laser technology PicoWay® to treat melasma, and other benign pigmented lesion. PicoWay® is a picosecond laser.
Here’s how the PicoWay® laser helps in treating melasma:
– It utilizes short bursts of laser energy to break down the ink into small fragments or particles in a tattoo, which are slowly absorbed and then naturally eliminated by the body’s immune system.
– Picosecond Pulses: The PicoWay laser emits ultra-short pulses of laser energy in picoseconds (one trillionth of a second). These rapid pulses target the pigmented areas without causing significant heat damage to the surrounding tissue.
– Photoacoustic Effect: Similar to its use in tattoo removal, the PicoWay laser employs a photoacoustic effect, using sound waves rather than heat to break up pigment particles in the skin. This minimizes the risk of inflammation and thermal injury.
– Multiple Wavelengths: The laser offers different wavelengths (532 nm, 785 nm, and 1064 nm), allowing for precise targeting of pigmentation at various depths within the skin.
Benefits of PicoWay®: Minimized Risk of Post-Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation (PIH), Effective for Various Skin Types, Reduced Downtime, Fewer Sessions.
Post-treatment Care:
– Immediate Care: The treated area might be slightly red or swollen. Applying a soothing cream and avoiding direct sun exposure are recommended.
– Healing: Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen daily to protect the treated areas from UV radiation, which can worsen melasma.
– Follow-Up: Multiple sessions are typically required, spaced several weeks apart, to achieve the best results. Consistent follow-up appointments help monitor progress and adjust treatment as needed.

Laser Age Spot / Brown Spot Reduction
Brown spots, also known as sun spots, liver spots, age spots and freckles. They develop on the skin for several reasons, hormonal imbalance, pregnancy, medications, menopause and sun exposure. Generally, a brown spot is a focal area of either a higher number of pigment cells (called “melanocytes”) or an increased number of pigment molecules (called “melanin”) located within the melanocyte. Some excess melanin resides in your top layer of skin, or epidermis. Some excess melanin is deeper, in the dermis. Thus, brown spots are really a diverse group of skin issues; different types of increased pigmentation require different lightening treatments.
At Magic Laser and Aesthetics, we are using long pulsed laser light delivery closely matches the Thermal Relaxation Time (TRT) of melanocytes. Heating of the melanocytes in benign pigmented lesions can cause thermal damage sufficient enough to remove these types of lesions.
GentleMAX Pro’s 755 nm wavelength can be used to treat the following benign epidermal pigmented lesions: Mottled or hyperpigmentation, Lentigines, Ephelides (freckles), Epidermal melisma, Café au lait
There are some potential side effects after the treatment, you will feel discomfort, you may bruise a little, swelling, scabs, hyper-pigmentation, or hypo-pigmentation, and lesions recurrence.
During the treatment, you may hear a “Snap” while treating. The darker the lesion, the louder the “Snap”. It is very common to see a “Frosting” of the lesion, the lesion will darken within 5 – 10 minutes after treatment and may remain so until the lesions forms a micro-crust.
Post Treatment Care: Aquaphor, bacitracin or even Vaseline ointment can be used to keep area moist until the crust falls off. The skin underneath will be pink. There is a gradual return to normal skin color over time. You should avoid direct and indirect sun exposure for at least 2 weeks before & after the laser treatment. You should always apply sunscreen at least SPF 30+ on the treated area daily. Sun exposure may contribute to hyperpigmentation in treated area.

Acne Treatment
Acne is a skin concern that emerges from the overproduction of oil by the skin’s oil glands. Although the oil normally lubricates the skin, it can sometimes get trapped in blocked oil ducts and appears as a pimple. Hormonal changes can also be one of the cause of acne. Acne typically results in painful, inflamed lesions that can appear on the face, chest, back, limbs and virtually any other part of the body.
Magic Laser & Aesthetics provides a number of treatments and technologies for acne. This treatment provides antibacterial properties that soothes and calms the subaqueous glands. This includes the most advanced Lasers, Microdermabrasion, scientifically proven Chemical peels and skin treatments to provide the best solution. In case of minor or moderate acne, our esthetician will suggest skin treatments and home skin care products that are effective and safe to help you control your acne.

Laser Skin Tightening
The laser skin tightening technology is the treatment for everyone who wants firmer and tighter skin on the spot, without visible post-treatment scarring. Our non-ablative lasers work by causing thermal injury below the epidermis which results in a wound healing response in the upper papillary dermis, effectively remodeling the body’s collagen and regenerate damaged skin cells. This treatment can not only dramatically enhance skin texture and reduce fine lines but reverse signs of facial and body aging for an overall firmer, youthful appearance.
Laser skin tightening is ideally suitable for people between the ages of 28 to 60 with minimal to medium sagging, and is safe on all skin tones. This treatment can be used safely on all parts of the body and face, showing significant improvements on sagging brows, fines lines and wrinkles around the mouth, stretched skin on the abdomen and other areas.
- Immediate signs of firming and tightening
- Minimize / shrink pore size
- No downtime
- Little discomfort
- No injections, surgery or risks
- Collagen stimulation lasts six months after treatment
- Long lasting improved skin quality
- Improved skin elasticity and tautness

Laser Skin Rejuvenation
Laser Skin Rejuvenation is a gentle laser treatment. It is a non-ablative, non-invasive procedure – the epidermal layer of the skin is not removed. The laser light treats the surface of the skin and penetrates beneath the skin by using dual wave lengths. The shorter wave length treats surface skin pigmentation irregularities such as age spots, freckles, or rosacea, and the longer wave length penetrates beneath the surface of the skin to get rid of broken blood vessels, and stimulate new collagen growth.
Research shows that laser skin rejuvenation can dramatically reduce fine lines around the eyes, mouth and on the cheeks, and also significantly reduce deep lines, effectively remove some shallow scars, and tighten the skin.
From clinical experience in skin rejuvenation treatment in 19 patients using a long-pulse Nd:YAG laser, 10 showed good or superior results in their faces with minimal discomfort after two to seven treatments every 3-4 weeks. Improvement was also observed in wrinkles and skin laxity as well as skin texture and fine lines. An increase in the density of collagen fibers in the papillary dermis was observed histopathologically.
This no-downtime procedure is appropriate for the face but also for the chest, neck and hands. Treatment can be done during your coffee break or lunch break; clients can go back to the office right after the treatment.

Facial & Leg Vein Reduction
Spider Veins, it’s also called Telangiectasias, about 50 – 80% of people develop spider veins during their lifetime. They look like tree branches or spider webs. Those tiny red or purple blood vessels often appear on the face, legs, and ankles, they are closer to the surface of the skin than varicose veins.
Spider veins can be caused by injuries, aging, family history, hormonal changes, pregnancy, obesity, lack of exercise and sun exposure. Sitting or standing for a long time may force your veins to work harder to pump blood to your heart. If you sit with your legs bent or crossed, it may worsen the problem.
At Magic Laser and Aesthetics, we use Nd:Yag laser technology with 1064 nm wavelength, multiple spot sizes, variable pulse duration, and cryogen cooling system (DCD™) epidermal protection technology makes the treatment more comfortable, faster and safer. The laser treatment creates a beam of high-intensity light that penetrates deeply into skin tissue, and targets the vascular lesion. It destroys both unsightly tiny superficial face veins and deeper blue leg veins on men and women of all skin tones, so the vein slowly fade and disappear.
